All’interno del laboratorio si svolgono attività di restauro, falegnameria, recupero, reinterpretazione; attività che spesso e inesorabilmente si intrecciano fra loro in modo indistinguibile.
Tutto gravita quasi sempre intorno al legno e alla mia formazione come restauratore, che si è poi appassionato alla falegnameria e al design.
Così antiche preparazioni fatte con colla animale e gesso diventano finiture per porte moderne, la micro sabbiatrice viene utilizzata per scrivere sul vetro, nello stesso oggetto convivono vernici poliuretaniche di ultima generazione e terre legate con la caseina.
Penso sia proprio questa la caratteristica più distintiva del laboratorio wedge, il perenne dialogo tra restauro,design e recupero.

In the workshop we run the following activities: restoration, conservation, carpentry, reinterpretation. These are activities, which often and inexorably are indistinctly intertwined. Everything almost always gravitates around the material; my background as a restorer, my first passion, later followed by my interest in carpentry and design. In this way, ancient preparations made with hide glue and plaster become finishings for modern doors. The micro sandblaster is used to write on glass. Coexisting in the same object are the most advanced polyurethane varnish and powder bound with casein. I believe this is the most distinctive characteristic of the ‘wedge‘ workshop, the eternal dialogue between restoration, design and conservation
